ABOUT US
The Ukrainian-British City Club is dedicated to promoting business, trade and business understanding between Ukraine and the United Kingdom by extending links between the two countries and by promoting commercial and business relations.
Objectives
- to study, promote, protect and extend the industrial and commercial relations between individuals, firms, companies, corporations, institutions and associations of Ukraine and the United Kingdom
- to organise events and functions to enhance Ukrainian-British trade, business and business understanding in the Ukrainian-British community
- to provide members with various networking opportunities to enhance their business contacts and business understanding
- to sponsor activities which will promote co-operation and goodwill in Ukrainian-British business relations
The Club is a non-profit making organisation funded entirely by Patrons, Sponsors and membership subscription fees together with revenue generated from the activities.
Our people
Taras Chaban, Director
Taras Chaban is an asset manager working for a large hedge fund in Mayfair, London. Prior to his current employment Mr. Chaban held positions in investment banks, hedge funds and information technology companies. Taras Chaban holds a Master of Philosophy degree from the University of Liverpool. He is a Ukrainian living in Kent with his wife and two children.
Irina Tymczyszyn, Director
Irina Tymczyszyn is an English-qualified lawyer working in the London office of a US law firm. Irina specialises in international commercial arbitration and litigation and is a member of the London Court of International Arbitration. Irina holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Manchester and was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2001. Irina is a Ukrainian living in Kent with her husband and two daughters.
Oleksiy Soroka, Director
Oleksiy Soroka works for a major European investment bank in London. Prior to his current position, he was employed by another international investment bank. Oleksiy Soroka holds a Master of Sciences degree in International Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Mr. Soroka is also a CFA Charterholder. In 2003, Oleksiy Soroka created The Ukrainian Space, a networking platform for young Ukrainian professionals working in London and a precursor to The Young City Club. He is a Ukrainian living in London.
Tanya Blazhko, Director
Tanya Blazhko works for a major US investment bank in London in the Emerging Markets client coverage group. She has over 8 years of professional experience in US banks in London with focus on structured Fixed Income products. Tanya holds a Masters in Finance degree from City University Business School in London. She is a Ukrainian living in London.
Andrew Boutchinski, Director/Treasurer
Andrew Boutchinski is a risk manager with a major European investment bank in London. Andrew is an Australian qualified accountant and has a public practice background. He also holds an advanced degree in International Finance from Kyiv Schevchenko University. Andrew is a Ukrainian living in London with his wife and a son.
Vasyl Myroshnychenko, Director, Head of Ukrainian Office
Vasyl Myroshnychenko is a Partner at CFC Consulting - government relations, strategic communications and investment consultancy in Kyiv, Ukraine. Vasyl holds a Master of Science degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Vasyl is a Ukrainian living in Kyiv.
